To aid customers buying their first ski lift, we offer these steps as a guide.
1: The customer decides on the site and line of the required lift, in consultation with local government for any permissions or compliance requirements.
2: The customer provides terrain profiles of the proposed liftline, including areas 25 meters adjacent to the line. Preferred scale 1:2000 or 1:1000.
3: Using the maps provided, Beijing Ropeway will provide an estimation plan, made up of general construction method, feasibility, and approximate price.
4: The customer provides copies of all of the required permits and approvals from councils, forestry, or any other bodies from which compliance is required.
5: The customer and Beijing Ropeway sign the construction contract, which will clearly define the responsibilities and obligations of either party.
6: Based on the preliminary design and profiles, precise measurements are made, vertical section drawings, including drawings of the sites of the upper and lower stations are produced in scales of 1:200, the cross-sectional drawing in scales of 1:200 are made by actual need where the line center vertical terrain have much more difference.
7: Beijing Ropeway produces detailed designs and drawings from this data.
8: The design will look at the options and best positions for towers and drive station design. Geologist reports can then be procured of sites as required.
9: Beijing Ropeway manufactures the ropeway in line with the design and civil engineering practices.
10: In conjunction with the manufacturer, the customer researches and makes preparations of safety and construction requirements with authorities.
11: Once final permissions are gathered, the components are shipped, and finally installed.
12: After commissioning, all parties carry out inspections, load tests including a 120 hour run test and prepare for final approvals in the field.
13: All documents including the self inspection report signed by all parties, rules and regulations, product certifications, operation and maintenance manuals, construction plans and drawings, notices of alterations or non-alteration notices, technical, geological and civil records and any other relative documents are gathered for final inspection by local Ropeway Inspection authorities, and compliance certificate is issued.
